A few Bessemer pics I took today

RPK Antiques is now Mimi's Treasure Chest

RPK Antiques and thrift store has changed hands and is named Mimi's Treasure Chest or something like that.

Same great store, but Donny has moved on.

So, I've changed the blog to focus on general Pueblo County stuff.

Mexican Food in Colorado

I'd like to start this thread with a caveat... there are many types of Mexican food we enjoy.

Talk a bit about what you like if you can, not so much what you don't like because... somewhere down the line... we're all different.  Different strokes so to speak.

I know of two different schools of Pueblo Colorado Green Chile... the Mill Stop or Romeros type of green chile... and the Mi Ranchito/Tortillera Delicias/Ritas/Arribas type green chile.  I like them both, but like the latter more... as it's more like my own.

My favorite spot in all of Pueblo, just south of Adams on Polk Street, one block south of Lincoln/Thatcher;

One of my wife's favorite places;

My favorite place for a red chile(i?) slopper;

There it is... red chili, two burger patties, onions, fries, and all... the Pueblo Colorado Slopper.

One of my favorite places you can drive through;

A local favorite;

Competition for Coors Tavern and current winner of the Green Chile Slopper Award;

Mi Ranchitos on the Mesa;

Then the one on Pueblo Blvd;

One of a few places on the east side;

A great place for breakfast and local fav

Another great place for breakfast and local fav on Abriendo

A place near the Mill on Mesa and east of I-25

A place on Lake in the Bessemer area;

This place is so authentic, they take pesos;

A store on Abriendo and Northern;
